18 month checkup

Everything went great.... 95th percentile on height and 50th
percentile on weight.. Which is a big improvement from the last time
when he was 10th on weight.

Outer Banks & Smith Mountain Lake - August 2008

We just got back from a 10+ day trip that included two stops at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia, a week in the Outer Banks, and a quick one-day trip for Stacey & I up to Charlottesville to watch UVA get embarassed by USC. All in all, a great trip!




We arrived at the house we rented in the last Sunday and stayed through Friday evening. We were soundside in Southern Shores (just on the western edge of Duck) and had a great time for our first trip to the OBX. The weather was really good for every day but one, and we made it to the beach at least twice a day. Carter loved it (although it took a little bit of 'warming up' to the sand) and he was his normal social butterfly on the beach -- including getting picked up by a 2 and a 1/2 year old who couldn't stop hugging him.
