In early August, Uncle Brad (Stacey's brother) shipped off for a tour of duty in Iraq -- he's a surgeon in the Army. Pretty much within days after his arrival, he started dropping hints to a select few folks that 'getting home for Christmas Eve to surprise Mom and Dad at the Lake House' was looking like a real possibility.
For those of you that know Stacey -- the planning process began almost immediately!
Long story made short -- he was indeed able to get out of Iraq safely, and made it to the RDU airport on the evening of December 20th. Because it was a surprise, only our immediate crew was there to greet him.

Over the past week or so, Colby got to meet his Uncle Michael, and his Grandpa and Grandma Zagol (not the first time for Grandma Z of course!!) More to come with Thanksgiving right around the corner...
Campbell and her Dad got to head off to their first-ever father-daughter dance on Sunday night.... fun was had by all! Dad will admit to getting some goosebumps seeing his daughter walk down the stairs of the house in a beautiful new dress -- hope she doesn't grow up too quickly!
Colby Richard Lange was born on Thursday, November 3rd, 2011, at 10:39pm at the Duke University Hospital. He weighed 9lbs, 9oz, and measured 21 inches in length...
